Michelle is a native Californian who was raised in West LA "down the street" from MGM where her father worked. After teaching junior high in Anaheim, she left the teaching industry to have a family. When she re-entered the work force in 1977, she started in a new career: real estate.
Michelle is regularly involved in giving seminars for first time buyers. "There\'s a lot you should know before you buy. Too many agents rush buyers into doing something that is not what they want. Just because an agent can "sell" someone is no excuse to push a client into something they really don\'t want. An agent who represents a buyer is supposed to be working for that buyer...regardless of the fact that the seller pays the commission."
In the 30-plus years experience, she has worked with buyers from every price range and requirement. Having a background of residential investment herself, she has become a certified 1031 tax exchange counselor.
In 2006, Michelle\'s youngest son Travis teamed up with his mother in hope of continuing the family practice. After going to Fountain Valley High School he joined the 82nd Airborne Division and served his time in N.Carolina. After returning from the Army he moved to Santa Barbara to go to college. Gaining degrees in Applied Communication and Nursing he relocated with his wife back to Orange County.
Michelle has her broker\'s license and was the trainer of all of Century 21 Berg Realty\'s new employees for more than 15 years. Now broker of record of a new office, Cal Tex Properties, much of her time is focused on the property management aspect of bank owned properties. Having a partner and a teammate gives our clients the ability to have a professional that is there for them 7 days a week and gives us the ability to be in two places at the same time.
